Post-Treatment Care Guide

Follow these instructions for maximum treatment effectiveness and long-lasting results

CRITICAL: Read Before Cleaning

DO NOT clean, vacuum, or mop treated areas for at least 7 days. Cleaning too early will remove the treatment and significantly reduce effectiveness.

Increased pest activity in the first week is completely normal - it means the treatment is working by flushing pests out of hiding. Do not panic or attempt additional DIY treatments.

Critical Do's & Don'ts After Treatment

These rules are essential for the treatment to work. Following them ensures maximum effectiveness.

Do Not Mop or Scrub Chemical Borders

Avoid washing floor edges, baseboards, or lower cabinet frames for at least 30 days. Water and detergents strip away active chemical residues.

Avoid Off-the-Shelf Sprays

Never apply Raid, bleach, Lysol, or vinegar over treated areas. Strong household products degrade professional residuals and repel pests away from baits.

Keep Areas Dry & Sealed

Fix water drips immediately and keep food sealed in hard containers. Denying pests food and water forces them to interact with our treatments.

Leave Sticky Monitors in Place

Do not move monitoring traps. They provide essential data to track treatment progress during follow-up inspections.

What to Expect: Cockroaches

Knowing what's normal after a cockroach treatment helps you avoid unnecessary worry.

Initial Activity Spike

Expect to see increased activity for 7 to 14 days after service as non-repellents and baits disrupt harborages. This is a sign the treatment is working.

Nymph Sightings Are Normal

Egg cases hatch every 20–28 days. Small baby roaches (nymphs) may appear between follow-up visits as remaining egg cases hatch — this is expected and will be addressed at the follow-up.
